Starless night
Quiet the city light.
(L.A. deceives
There is no rest
For the dreary.)
I sit in peace,
A cooling breeze slides thru my screen.
Somewhere else
Down the road
Another block
Somewhere in L.A.
Abbreviated cries
When somewhere dies
Some someone's dreams.
I lay my pen aside
As someone sings,

Enlisted in the USAF 1966, served in Biloxi AFB, Tinker AFB(Oklahoma City), Dover AFB (Delaware) & Laos. Did 5 years.
Came back to UT Austin, split major, Chem. E. & Marketing. Went through my motorcycle period without injury.
Came to California, worked in electronics in the music industry for years.
My wife, Alice, of 20 years, died from chemotherapy in 1998, which was the worst thing that ever happened to me.
I married my present wife, Cris in 2000.
Cris is awesome.
