It’s on Amazon, Archway and Barnes and Noble! During my days as a student at Dunbar, I've learned so many valuable lessons that I incorporate into my life today. I have learned the value of friendships, I still have a lot of them from Sursum Corda, Sibley Plaza, The Tyler House and all the grounds I traveled during my four year tenure at Dunbar. I've learned how hurtful memories associated with death can begin to heal with knowledge and prayer! I've learned that hate keeps a person sick and forgiveness allows them to heal. I've learned that education is crucial to building strong character and maintaining a solid foundation to continue to build upon. I remember a prayer Ms. Beckwith said for me when my world was crumbling all around me because of the choices I made. I wear the Christ Armor of Light to this day still, as a gift from her. I remember the sacrifices my family made to ensure that I got my chance to raise my own family. There will always be lessons that I continue to learn from home, the church, the streets the place of employment even from places not yet seen! My days in the military were especially memorable because of the chance I got to train in ROTC prior to going in. To be well rounded, a person needs to live and in living comes lessons, some easy some hard! I learned that there are three types of people in this world...those with no education, those with a little education and those with higher education.
