Life 10/11/2005- I live in Milford, Connecticut. I have mostly lived in Connecticut since 1966. I was born in Dover, Delaware, lived there (for the most part) until 1966. email is mike at hetsko.com School 10/11/2005- I lived in Dover, Delaware until 1966. In 1965-66, I was in fifth grade, in Mr. Akers’ class in the [then] Dover Middle School. I believe that was the first year that that school was a middle school, [prior to that it was Dover High School]. It was right around this time that the new Dover High School off Walker Road was opened. Prior to that I was in the Dover Central Elementary School, attached to the middle school. In fourth grade [1964-65] I had Miss Causey. For third grade I was in Miss Reece’s class [1963-64] which was held in a trailer behind the school. I especially remember third grade because we were in gym class one day in 1963 when Mrs. Hearn, the Principal, came out to our gym class and told us that President Kennedy had been killed. In second grade, I had Mrs. O’Brien [1962-63] and in first grade it was Mrs. Berger [1961-62]. There was no public kindergarden in those days; I attended church kindergarden at the People's Church, then at the Wesley Methodist Church, both near downtown Dover. We moved to Connecticut in the late winter of 1966. I finished fifth grade in the Middlefield School system, in an old green 4-room schoolhouse on East Street in Middletown, CT.
