Michael's Story
Life
I have been married to my wonderful bride, Jennifer, for over 39 years. We have three adult children, with two sons who graduated from Michigan State University and a daughter who has two children, our grand children. Our oldest son, David, lives in Chicago and our other son, Matthew, lives in Los Angeles. Matthew was married in September 2022 and traveled to the Philippines and South Korea for their honeymoon. Our daughter and grand kids continue to live in Michigan. I have a passion for traveling, motorcycling, golf and spending time with family and friends.
School
High school seems like forever ago in so many ways. Where have all the years gone? Cross country and track are fond memories, learned good disciplined and still run today from time to time to keep in shape. College
Great times and was fortunate to room with two high school friends, John Kennedy and Anthony Accurso. We lived on campus, at Western Michigan University, for one year and off campus for three years. We worked hard and played hard!
Workplace
I retired in January 2022 after 40 years as a Chief Financial Officer for various companies and industries. Also, I continue to maintain my certified public accountant license in three states. During my working career, I provided strategic leadership of the accounting, finance, treasury, taxation, human resources, purchasing and information systems functions. Additionally, I established and maintained the relationship with independent auditors, commercial bankers, and commercial insurance and benefit program advisors. Additional role as the Treasurer and Secretary of the Board of Directors and as a member of the company's Executive Committee.
