I live on the Bayou in Oceans Springs, always nice to sit on the pier and watch the sunset, or throw the cast net and see what I catch. WE LOST OUR HOUSE AND EVERYTHING WE OWNED DUE TO HURRICANE KATRINA. I am now in a completely new house on the same spot, only higher.
I gained about 6 pounds per year, each year from the time I retired in 1995 until April 05' when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Since then I have lost 32 pounds and plan on losing more.
Current plans: We finally built our retirement/dream home on the Bayou. Hurricane Katrina wiped it out. We finished rebuilding with our flood insurance money and a loan from the S.B.A
Since previous updates Carol had a 2nd stroke and I have provided 24/7 care for her from Sept 07 until she died on July 25, 2015. My Father Denis Jones passed away April 2016 at age 95 and my Mom Odell Jones passed away Feb 2017 at age 92. I have 3 surviving sister who all still live in Birmingham.
