Michael is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Two weeks before graduation, Gene Bigley expelled me for smoking in the boys room. He said he didn’t want to do it, felt he owed it to me, kind of like Judge Smails. After my pre-graduation departure from school, I took a suggestion from my brother, to become something, and left Wisconsin and moved to Rhode Island. I worked in a couple of restaurants for a while and then when my brother’s company, Northeast Cash Register, had a fire, I bought into the company and began a career in the sales and service of cash registers. We eventually changed the name of the company to Advanced Management Information Systems Inc. (AMISYS) My wife and myself eventually took over ownership of the company when my brother no longer wanted the headaches of ownership. We agreed to do this as long as he remained with the company because he was the major factor in the sucess of the company. We ran it until 2001.
