Michael's Story
When I left high school, went into the military as a combat medic with the Army. That set the stage for my life career as a paramedic/firefighter and emergency medicine educator. I love my career. I have been involved with 3 fire departments, 3 colleges and 2 State EMS offices (Michigan, New Mexico). I consider myself most fortunate, even though I don't deserve it. My career has taken me to many places. I am proud to have served the military recently as an instructor with the Special Forces Medical Training Center at Kirtland AFB near Albuquerque. m currently a Captain with the Clayton, NM Fire Department where I supervise the EMS division and perform as a firefighter/paramedic. I have been married 31 years and have 3 adult children. I love mountain hiking and photography. The mountains and the terrain of the West has been a great love of mine and I have traveled over a hundred thousand miles to see it.
