Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” ~ Steve Jobs For those who believe in God, no proof is necessary. For those who don't, none is possible. (unsure of author) So often times it happens, that we live our lives in chains, and we never even know we have the key. -Glenn Frey Humanity is the universe's attempt to understand itself. r) "In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semihuman. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog."~Edward Hoagland Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better. -Robert Joseph Stull". More about Michael:"The thing that has consistently gone through my mind lately is, "Why do I get to be so fortunate?" There are so many good people experiencing very challenging problems; while I, having hit depths of darkness which were as close to physical death as one can come without commitment, have emerged into a lightness of being that grows richer each day. And by God's grace, I am completely physically healthy. I reviewed my "about me" from last year to see what has changed in my perspective. It read: "I take everything seriously but myself! I have passionately experienced much of life and enjoyed great success and bitter tragedy. In the end, the only thing that matters is what have I done to improve the lives of others." Today, I DO take life seriously in that I'm consistent in every 24-hour period about prayer, personal relationships, professional excellence. But, I STILL remain solidly grounded in my desire to improve the live's of others. I am dedicated to my family's welfare and growth. I am an active member of my church and a facilitator of its Lifeteen ministry. I am a proud new members of Niles local Knights of Columbus organization, and am still on the 'roles' as an active wish granter with The Make-A-Wish Foundation (which I have enjoyed thoroughly over the past 7 or 8 years - granting wishes to over 100 special children), although I haven't contacted the local chapter since moving from Chicago. So, while I don't always feel I DESERVE so many blessings in my life, Pam has reminded me that life isn't about "deserve", and God has reminded me that I can ALWAYS stop what's causing me pain at any time, ask for help, be granted forgiveness, and change. I am grateful for the rich life I have. I hope to share that wealth with those around me in need. I look forward to all whom I meet whose commitment toward peace and happiness is as firm as ours. God Bless.".
