Michael's Story
Life
OK, went to LBCC after graduation....took a semester off school after a relationship change in 1972, and went to Maui to surf and do some mental therapy so to speak. The change of scenery was great and I stayed on Maui chasing waves, playing beach volleyball, and playing guitar with a few other Millikan alumni. It was the beach during the day and bartended and managed a restaurant at night. Did that until April of 1981 and then went to Washington State for about a year to manage the Shoreline Restaurant in Gig Harbor. I then traveled to the gold country to a little town called Mokelumme Hill for about 6 months and finally located to Santa Cruz. into the world of purchasing for a food service distributor in Santa Cruz.
I now live in Aptos, next to New Brighton State Park, walking distance down a private road to the beach. I live with my wonder wife, Norma Jean and we celebrated our 10 year anniversary in May 2009. Still surf, snow ski, play beach volleyball, softball, and have been known to pick up a golf club now and then. I also continue to play music, both guitar and my new found passion, the ukulele. Vacations are what Norma Jean and I live for and is very high on the priority list.
Next goal is to build a house on our property on the Big Island and hopefully relocate in the next couple of years.
