Michael's Story
College
while in the usaf i continued with my education past my associates degree. i later seperated from the usaf and using my gi bill i recieved a bs in health science from chapman university in orange ca, 1994 then enrolled in their masters program in health administration in which i recieved a post gragruate certificate 1996. then in 1999 i went to the university of nevada reno and recieved a post graduate certificate in human resources.
Workplace
while in the air force for 15 yeras active duty and three years irr. i practiced physical therapy, and i still do so to this day. I am in a long term care facitlity were i administer phyiscal therapy to geriatric...Expand for more
population. It is very rewarding when someone who is not able to walk, walks agiain with my help. i am also involved with fitting prosthetic legs for my patients and teaching them to walk again. this is a very rewarding job and i am glad that the air force taught me these very valuable skills.
Military
one of the high lites of my military career was to spend the weekend of july 4th 1985 with george w bush (the senior) at kennebunkport maine. i was in the air force at the time and provided medical support to his support staff of secret service agents as well as himself. for that stay i have a picture of me shaking hands with the president of the united states.
