Michael's Story

Life - Came back from school in Arizona in 1986. I stayed a few years, working in Pearl Harbor during that time. I moved to Las Vegas in 1989 leaving all my family and friends behind. When I moved to Vegas it was just starting it's incredible growth. I now live in one of the most exciting cities in the world, and to me it's home. I got married in 1998 to my wife Lizamarie. Our daughter (Skyler nicknamed Kai) was born on March 23, 2001. It's hard to believe I'm the father of such a perfect little baby girl. Daddy's little girl. =^) 2016 - Now living as a single parent. Got divorced in 2008, my daughter (Kai) moved in with me in 2013. Kai attended private school (Calvary Chapel Christian School) until the 8th grade. Then she tells me she's done and wants to attend public school. So she went from a school which had 40 kids per grade to a school that has over 900 per grade. B...Expand for more
ut she's thriving and loving it. Her high school is Coronado High School which is the #1 academic public school in Southern Nevada (which is why we moved across the street from it). It was also the 2 time defending state girls volleyball champions (lucky bonus for Kai). Kai has played volleyball for Calvary Chapel and Club volleyball since the 5th grade. She made starting setter for the JV team as a Freshman. Won MVP at the end of the season. Then was promoted to Varsity at the end of JV season. A few weeks later Vasity won their third consecutive state championship. So 3 months into her move to a public school as a Freshman, she has a JV girls volleyball MVP and a Varsity State Championship. She's also carrying a 4.0 GPA so YES I'm a very proud daddy. ;^) PS - The way to win in Vegas? (Don't Gamble! There is so much to see and do in Vegas, don't waste your money gambling!)
