Michael P.'s Story
Michael P. is from San Luis Obispo, California. Michael P. was married to Shel Robinson Burrell., who passed sadly in October of 2017. Michael P.'s schools include San Rafael High School. Michael P. later attended College of Marin (AA), Attended and graduated from Cal Poly SLO in 1969 (BS Soc Sci+ minors in PE & Music). Taught Jr. High & High School in Atascadero, CA from 1972 until 2005. RETIRED HISTORY TEACHER. Currently works at KKJL 1400 am in S.L.Obispo, CA, as a board operator for the SF Giants, and volunteers at Laguna Jr. H.S. helping coach the school Mock Trial Team.
Was married to Shel Ann Robinson Burrell, who retired from Cal Poly SLO as Interim Director of Career Services in 2004.

ril of 2005, leaving her paraplegic, and causing Mike's retirement. Shel passed in October of 2017
Mike & Shel are proud parents of Lindsey Alfred Burrell (b.1982) and Kacia Frances Burrell (b. 1990).
We travelled the world until Shel's accident, and both have been involved with music, performing in choruses, and local symphonies, wind orchestras. Shel sings, Mike sings and plays french horn.
We share a home in San Luis Obispo, with planted redwood trees, lizards, insectivorous plants, flowers, Sadly, our great non-shedding, non-barking rescue miniature labradoodle Ariel passed in 2020 at age 14. Now my pets are the lizards and birds that inhabit my yard, and I love watching them.
We love staying in touch with all of our friends.
