How about the economy?
It sucks, especially in this area, but you probably already knew that. I think we have the highest unemployment rate in the country. The local kids cannot find summer jobs. We went to a couple of high school graduation parties over the last couple of weekends and heard a lot of similar stories - offered part time jobs from 11AM-1PM 3 days a week - competing against experienced and degreed professionals - people who have been laid off and will work cheap because they need to feed thei...Expand for more

I am still working at Chrysler, or should I say Chrysler Group LLC in Auburn Hills. Finally got out of Detroit last fall/winter, they officially closed the building on Plymouth Road (between Schaefer & Greenfield) last month. You do not realize how scary the neighborhood is until you go back after being out of there for several months. One gets acclimated to the occasional gunshots you hear and burned out cars and buildings that you pass on your way to and from work each day.
