Michael's Story
After holding various jobs in the area including Buttrey Foods, The Lewiston Morning Tribune, and CCI, I joined the US Navy in late 1974 and served for eight years as an enlisted aircraft mechanic based at the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station - attaining the rank of E-6 before deciding to seek a new path. Police Officer and decided to do that full time after my enlistment ended in 1983. I then served as a Police Officer for the next 25 1/2 years before retiring in 2008. I now live in Eastern Washington with my wife Janice of San Diego, our Shi Tzu (named Wickett for the Ewoks of Endor of Star Wars fame) and our menagerie of farm animals. My goal was always to be able to retire while still mentally and physically able to enjoy it - and thankfully I achieved that goal.
