Life
Hi,
The past February 10, 2009, I became 63 years old! I still feel like 30.
Well, it probably won't come out as any surprise to many of my classmates, but I'm openly gay and I came out during my junior year when I was sixteen.
I moved to Kansas City, MO in Sept of 1968, met Drew Shafer and we became a couple for 21 years. We were very active in the Gay movement, until he passed away September of 1989. I lost our home in a flood there, October of 1990 and moved back to New York. I've been upstate for 19 years now.
I always wanted to be an Actor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that I was a ham. As it turns out, they were right!

ling of her name.) and an artist while in high school, it will also come as no surprise to find that I pursued those careers and worked as an actor professionally for years. My professional name for my art and theater, and the one I primarily use socially, is Mickey Ray.
I started touring in the Midwest during the years I lived in Kansas City. I occasionally came back to New York to do a few musicals upstate, and to this day I continue to act and direct, as well as enjoy puppeteering with my 5 "Boyd's Bear" puppets. I took a course in Desktop Publishing and enjoy dabbling in the graphic arts as well as draw portraits of people and their pets in pencil and in pen and ink.
I currently live on the fourth floor of an apartment complex in Binghamton, NY.
