Michael's Story

I left Crystal Lake in 1971, with a job in Elgin, that included an apprenticeship. After completing my apprenticeship and a degree at ECC as a tool & die maker, I was recruited by a company in Colorado, who paid my relocation. The new company also paid for my further education: an AAS in Business Mgmnt, an AAS in Electronics, and a AAS in Computer Information Technology. After 11 years, that company closed, I went for my AAS in Automotive Technology and turned wrenches for 7 years. Then I became a mfg maint...Expand for more
enance tech and went back to school for my AAS in Heating & Air Conditioning. So all in all my time at CLCHS got me started on a "professional student" path and it all turned out well. MY 2 beautiful daughters are awesome as is my college graduate granddaughter, who chose Psychology as her major :) OH and by the way, NO! I didn't vote for recreational mary jane in Colorado.....who'd a thunk? PS.I'm now happily retired and enjoying my Free time, "No more pencils, no more books, no more teacher's dirty looks!"
