Michael's Story
Hello old friends and classmates,
I have been debating about reaching out to the '76 Class. By design, I have chosen to walk away from all public life.
It is a long and very boring story; So, I will spare you all the details.
Before I start to ramble and bloviate, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas (2021). I sincerely wish you (all y'all) are happy, safe, and joyful holiday.
Quick and dirty about me.
I retired from Banking and Health Services back in 2010. I was a Director at Citi Bank. Left to become a SVP at BlueCross BlueShield of Texas. Realized I was not going any higher in the food chain; so, I walked away. I was tired. I had enough. I was done. No more suits, no more ties, no more phone calls in the middle of the night about something that went bang in the middle of batch processing. It was my responsibility to fix it and have everything completed before business the next day.
After 30 yrs in Dallas, Texas it was time to consider moving.

left Texas, bumped into an old girlfriend. I'm talking I met her back in the early 80's.
We starting to get friendly, then smitten. And after moving to the East coast, we got married. Actually 12/23, is our 5 yr anniversary. Her name is Tracy.
We love going to Maui, Hawaii. Actually leaving Jan 15 for another trip. We both LOVE IT.
We have been to Italy, Maine, Savannah, Atlanta, Boston, several summers in "The Cape', up and down the eastern coast.
Later this year, we are doing Hawaii (again), then 2 months on Chesapeake Bay, then in October we are going to Key West and the Dry Tortugas. I'm looking forward to the Tortugas and Fort Jefferson.
I have been running and running away since I retired. Been over 10 yrs now. I have accomplished nothing. Well, my wife is entertained.
I hope all of you are... ok. I'm turning 65 in 2022. Sorry to say, I know some of you will join the club with me. Take care...
