Michael's Story
Amazing, 35 years since high school. In that time frame I graduated from UofD (where else back then) with a degree in accounting. I earned my CPA certificate two years later. I did public accounting for a few years in small firms, then was hired on as an accountant for a large manufacturer of roofing products. I have been there now since 1983 as an accounting manager putting together financial statements, tax returns, audits, etc. Enough travel to keep it interesting but not too much to keep me away from the family. math classes too. I met and married Elaine Johnstone (WP74)and we have a son kyle who is just finishing up his first year at Delaware. Elaine is also in the accounting field serving as CFO for a non-profit group in the Greenville area. We have been fortunate enough to enjoy several cruises and a fantastic trip to Scotland a couple of years back. Looking forward to more in the future though it would be nice if the US economy would cooperate. I still keep in touch with several friends from highschool including Skeeter Camelli, Greg Williams, Bill Dukes and Kathy Thielman. Recently I ran into Brian Darby and on occasion I e-mail with Frank Messick.
