Michael's Story
Before graduation I left on a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I did not get my diploma until after I returned. Part of the agreement in my recieving my diploma was that I not know I had recieved it until I returned from my mission. In that situation I guess you would have to incude my mission as part of my educational experience. The one thing I did learn on my mission is that Jeus is our savior and we can depend on him if we but will do it.
The rest of my life story has been an example of what happens when you do or do not use that knowledge.
I have been married three times twice to the same Lady, Carol. I still care about her and share the hopes for the well being of our daughter, Alee. In the meantime I am active in our singles group. Love to go dancing. As often as I can get in touch with old friend and escape to the mountains or the beach with old friends. Interestingly my children have become some of those old friends. As you can see my grandchildren like to go along.
In employment I boomed for some twelve to twenty years. (Booming is going where there is building boom going on. Unually built gas plants and gold mines.) Spent another ten or fifteen in the Kelso, Longview area working mainly at Reynolds Metals. I am now working the one place I was never going to work, a saw mill, Stimson Lumber, and enjoying it. It keeps me fed, sheltered, and clothed; and does the same for my daughter Alee.
With those escapes to the mountians and some time with my grandchildren, I am pleased with life.
There are those of you to whom I was not as kind as I would choose to be could change the record. Especially a real freind by the name of Ruth Ann. She was to me the little Red headed girl from Charley Bown, who in the fifth grade, "I didn't know what to say so I hit her". There may be others that felt that way, please forgive me.
Your Friend, Mike
