Michael's Story
My Life is great. I am married to a wounderful woman (finally) her name is Rose and we have been married for 18 years. I have two daughters Tasha 28, and Stacee 25, and one step-son Gary who is 40.
I have 4 grand children Elizabeth 6, Ethan 4, Austin 4 year and Jackson 1 year. I have been employeed at my current job for 27years. I'm the Meter Technician for Roosevlet County Electric Co-op in Portales NM. Basically I handle all aspects of metering for the company, specializing in Auto-Mated Metering meaning, we read our meters in the office and don't have to send someone out to read meters. We're one of the first companies in the United States to grab hold of this new technology called Ultra Narrow Bandwith Powerline Carrier (Hunt Technologies) and fully deployed it through out our system.
My experience at CHS is a mixed bushel of memories. What I remember the most was being tired all the time. With school and playing basketball until late at night I never got to rest. My Senior year was probably the hardest. That was when I tore my ACL and my basketball career was over. I totally depended on my physical abilities to carry me through life. I was suppose to have a very promising basketball career. What I didn't realize then was that coaches will tell you anything to keep you inspired and productive. You know, they get paid to win games and state championships and if you get hurt there are plenty of kids to take your place.

n. It was like high school all over again and that bored me. After my high school sweetheart broke up with me I dropped out of college and moved off to Amarillo, TX. There I started working at IBP as a paddle bone puller (IBP is a beef processing company). I worked with drug dealers, murderers, child molisters, Viet Cong, gang bangers and any other type of riff-raft you can think of. I grew up real quick and realized that the life I once had in Clovis was gone forever, my innocence was taken away. But I also saw the good in the worst people you can think of and that I am grateful.
I moved to Portales with the intention of going back to college. I ended up getting married to a local girl and had two beautiful girls. I worked as a produce manager at a local grocery store called Parkway. I worked there for about four years and that was when I applied for a job at my current place of employment. I was divorced from my childrens mother in 91 and in 92 I meet the love of my life while attending night school at Clovis Community College. Rose is the center of my universe and has centered me and we got married in 93. My education is on going with my job and even with a degree I don't think I will ever finish school.
I have been really fortunate in my life and in my career. I have never given up on Love and never quit believeng that things will get better. I haven't touched a basketball in twenty years, and I only watched one high school basketball game in thirty years. Life is Good..
