as many of you may remember I was quite the dancer in high school.. After which I continued to dance and did so professionally for few years....mostly modern dance.. In my early twenties I sustained a few injuries in which I had to make a decision about my body and future health Although it was not an easy choice, since dance had been my life,I decided it best to quit and move forward with other interest..I switched my major in college and in 1986 I graduated from cal State Northridge, major in Psychology I moved to San Francisco for graduate study at The Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality where Wardell Pomeroy Ph.D...One of the original sex researchers in this country working with Alfred Kinsey , was my academic professor, mentor, and all around great man!! I received the best training there was At this time I began working in health care taking care of AIDS patients who were sick and also doing my clinical interships with couples having different HIV status and intimacy issues with these couples To this day those years were the best, most rewarding, and a priviledge to know and work with..most rewarding years of my life...I continued this work..focusing more on nursing in last few years than sexology as times changed so do peoples sexual issues...I worked with City and county of san francisco for last 20 years and also atUCSF for first 9 years of those first 20 at city and county, working with second year medical students teaching them how to do sexological exams, sex therapy issues, s.t.d. education collection and processing specimens, taki...Expand for more
