Michael's Story
Right after school Mike attended Alfred State College for 2 years. He then bounced around to a number of jobs spending the majority of his time as a laborer on the railroad. In 1979 he returned to school at Alfred University where he received a bachalers and masters degree. He then went on to Penn State where he received a PH.D. In solid state science. then moved on to a consulting firm in Pittsburgh ending his work life as Director of Natural Resources and Sustainable Resources, his personal speciality was materials forensics of building materials. He recently retired and moved back to Canisteo.
Mike never married. He enjoys spending time with his sisters grandkids. His work prevented him from having pets so he is now making up for lost time with 2 cats and a dog.
