Michael's Story
After graduating from high school I entered into the Army as an animal care specialist. I stayed in the active Army for 6 years, during which time I was stationed in Germany for 2 years (met my wife while there), I was than stationed at 29 Palms Marine Corps base in California for a year, and lastly was assigned back home at Nellis Airforce Base for 3 years. I than got out of active duty, but continued my time in the Army National Guard. I currently have 18 years service, and I'm currently a Flight Surgeon in the Army Guard. at UNLV, Graduating in December of 2000 with a Bachelors in Science (Biology), with a minor in chemistry. I was accepted to the University of Nevada Medical School, graduating with my MD in May of 2006. I'm currently in my third year of Pathology residency in Indiana. I just recently accepted an offer to attend a one year fellowship in Forensic Pathology at the Miami Dade medical examiners office in Miami, FL (yes the real life CSI miami). I have now been married for 15 years, and have three beautiful children Vivian 6yrs, Victoria 4yrs, and Gryffen 9months.
