One of Michael's favorite quotes is:"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!". More about Michael:"I live in San Diego California on the most southern west coast of the United States. I have lived here most all of my life. But i was born on the east coast in Massachusetts in a town called Melrose. That is where my mother and father grew up. I was flown out west soon after being born with my grandmother. I have a sister who is a year and a half older. I have lived here ever since. I haven't been lucky enough to travel much at all. I have traveled by truck down the peninsula of Baja [Mexico] on many surfing explorations. It is a beautiful desolate place. It has alot of rugged terrain. And is about 1500 kilometers and has allot of nice surfing and fishing spots. As good as some of the best on the planet. And the local people are very pleasant. except for the [Bandit's] who live in the mountains and hide out. They prey on American tourists who are traveling the road to cabo San Lucas. They know these people have allot of $. So they set up a quick road block and pose as Federales or police and then rob them. And the ...Expand for more
languages are so different there is no communication with them. I though have only had one close encounter with these criminals though. Right now i live by myself about 5 miles from the pacific ocean which is the furthest i have lived from it in many many years.I have grown to love and respect it very much. While spending much of my life in on and around it I have learned very much about it. And have learned how to make a living from it by harvesting the fish and mollusks in it. Like abalone and lobster and fish ext.. The ocean almost took my life one time. Well actually more than once but only one time that i got so frightened that i had a panic attack. And that's not a good thing when your out in huge waves that are 20 feet high and breaking on top of you. In that situation there is no one that can help you. It becomes a matter of staying conscious and holding your breath as long as possible till you have another chance to tumble to the surface again for another chance for air. That goes on for awhile because you see when big waves are generated in the pacific far away. When they finally hit the coast. they come in sets of about six or up to 12 waves in a row [back to back]. Any way i was surfing by myself when i had that close encounter with death. I just thought i would share that with you".
