Well - I will try to not be too long winded at this. Right out of high school I had decided I really wanted to be a police officer. I applied with Newport PD and got hired as a police cadet. Once of my first assignments with me being so young (only 17) was to work with ABC and bust liquor stores and bars for selling to minors. After the first summer I hit them all (Newport, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach)...sorry for you young drinkers...it was for our own good. After entering the academy I made some personal decisions to leave and actually got injured which lead me back to school to seek a degree in Architecture. I am sure we all remember the great housing slumps in the early 90's (like today is not bad)...and this great decision had me change focus and enter a career in engineering - so now I have a degree as a Mechanical Engineer.
