Michael Ward:

CLASS OF 1979
San ramon, CA

Michael's Story

Guess it's time to actually fill this out. Moved to Reno, Nevada immediately after graduation, within maybe a month. After hanging out there for about a year doing nothing, I joined the Army and requested overseas duty. I spent the next 10 years of my life living in Germany. That's where I met my wife Maria. We have now been married over 25 happy years. We have two children, Jennifer 25 and Sean 20. Jennifer has a great training job with Bally's Technologies, and Sean is a rescue swimmer in the US Navy. After serving in the Gulf War, I separated from the Army and settled back in the state of Nevada. I am now a Lieutenant in the Nevada Department of Corrections in the Lovelock Correctional Center. rections 15 years. I always knew selling all those joints in the smoking area would land me in prison. I just never imagined I would be in control of the keys. I don't know how many of you from the class of 79 will remember me. I was kind of a loner and kind of did a lot of recreational medications. I did participate in a lot of sports though. One of those Jock/Head types. I was gone most summers to Northern California to Commercial Fish so I wasn't around for a lot of summer bonding or activities. I'd love to hear from any of you that may want to re-connect if for no other reason to reminisce. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Has there been any discussion over the years about class reunions? Just curious.....
