Astronaut Alan Bean in downtown Ft Worth. For what it's worth. I once got to fly in a WWII B-17 bomber......Very cool! I am somewhere between Middle Age and Old Geezer. Married for more than 37 years (to the same beautiful woman!). MA in Physics. Systems Engineer for allmost 30 years. Taught Physics, Astronomy, Chemistry, Math at high school level. Taught Freshman Astronomy part-time for 22 years on university level and hope to teach again full-time after retirement. Pretty much a Science-Geek, I suppose. I read a lot and like to wrestle with thorny philosophical problems. Teach a bible class at my church and am very interested in Christian Apologetics. Lousy athelete. Typical absent-minded professor type (just ask my family!). I have a pretty good sense of humor, love bad puns and absurd real-life situations. Don't have much use for those who take themselves too seriously (including me) or who cannot laugh at the absurdities of our culture and nature. Overall pretty unremarkable, I think.".

Next two views from the top turret.
Beautiful view.
Looking aft from the top turret toward the tail. Radio antenna visible.
More Joe Pool Lake. Pretty day.
Pilot and co-pilot at work in the cockpit.
Looking forward along the fuselage at the top turret. This is open to the outside and pretty windy.
Radio station, No digital stuff here. Tubes and nothing but tubes. Vintage 1943.
Joe Pool Lake on the port wing.
Looking down on the ball turret. You wouldn't catch me in there! Too small and too hard to get out.
Portside waist gunner's position.
Big port wing and powerful props.
If you look carefully you can see the shadow of the plane below.
Portside view in flight. Pretty day for flying, but windy and a bit bumpy. We pretended it was flak.
Looking out the starboard gunner's window. Sunlight on the wing. Beautiful day to be airborne. Everything is so green from the winter snow and rain.
