Michael's Story
After high school, I crammed a 4-year bachelor's degree into 7 years -- changed majors 3 or 4 times, went to 3 different colleges (one of them twice). Got married in 1989 and moved to Champaign, Illinois (about a 2-hour drive south of Chicago) so my bride Lisa could go to graduate school. We liked it here so much that we just never left. Took a job at a local TV station and...Expand for more
wound up working there for the next 15 years. Then a couple years ago, I got sick of TV and decided to go back to school for my own master's degree, which I'm about a year away from completing. When I'm done, I'll be getting paid for doing what I love most... playing with fish! In other words, I hope to work for someone like the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service when I'm done.
