Michael's Story
i have been molding the minds of young america for quite some time now (scary, right?). i teach history, english, and debate to middle schoolers. it's the best job that i've ever had (sorry pizzaville u.s.a.).i have a fabulous family. my son is a constant source of mystery, intrigue, imagination, and love. my wife and i have moved to outer suburbia recently, and we are getting used to the challenges of not living in the city. the politics out here are strange to us. i like to spend time with my family experiencing this great big world in which we live. sharing it all with them is a great reward. the only person from high school that i have any real contact with is bob jones, but i have built a strong friend base...Expand for more
over the years that keeps getting better with age. i have lived in a lot of places in california from hollywood to humboldt county, and it is safe to say that i miss only eight things about bakersfield. i have done a lot of things and held some interesting jobs since leaving bakersfield. one thing has remained stable: i am still a geek, but i have grown into it well. i like to cook, garden, listen to music, and work on my house when at home. i do a word puzzle and a number puzzle everyday to keep my mind sharp (working with adolescents does that as well). i had fun in high school, but i am glad that it was not the 'best time in my life.' i look forward finding the best years of my life every day that i wake up.
