Michael's Story
Life
After High School, I attended Lamar-degree in Pre-Law then 4-years USAF in Southeast Asia.(Vietnamese Linguist).Spent a year on a secret base in Thailand away from the family (I can talk about it now). Had 2 daughters while in the USAF. in 1975, left USAF, returned to Lumberton, attended Lamar again with degree in Petroleum Land Mgt. and Geology. Went to work for Mobil Oil, then in 79, Exxon Corp. Have worked for ExxonMobil now for 31.5 years as Petroleum Landman. Now in Houston area, (Magnolia), have 6 grandkids, 1 girl, 5 boys! One daughter and her family live in Kansas Cito, Mo. the manager for a medical non profit organization out of Bethesda, Md. She mostly works from a home office. I run a motorscooter restoration shop in spare time. Still have my old trumpet from band, but don't play much. Take care of elderly parent, age 99. Cindy's parents still live just north of Silsbee and were pretty devastated by Hurricane Rita. We have been spending a lot of weekends since then cleaning up the more than 20 large oak trees that fell all over their place. By the way, I have a 67 camaro I'm restoring (haven't had any time to work on it since the Hurricane however). Hopefully it will be ready for our 50th reunion (can you believe its been 40 now???)
