Michael's Story
Well, I've moved around like a nomad. That's what happens when you become an Engineer. You're disposable and get laid off all your jobs. Then when I find a new job it means relocating. But I have had a certain degree of good luck mixed in with the bad. I left NY in '94 and found a job in FL. And since then my job changes have kept me in both FL and GA. Mostly GA. I'll be selling my 3rd house in 10 yrs. I'll lose money on it too. I sure don't miss NY, especially the winters. When I left NY all I thought of was a song by Mountain (Leslie West's band, a Jewish blues guitarist who is from Massapequa). "Don't look around because I'm never coming back, its high time you saw the last of me". That's from the "Nanticket Sleighride" album. That album was out when I was in HS, about 1971. You'll most certainly remember him for "Mississippi Queen". I have all his Mp3's on my PC.

d since I was a kid. I guess it was my interest in mechanical things and Scotty from Star Trek that got me interested in Engineering. So I still build plastic scale models of cars, only much more highly detailed with much better paint finishes than when I was a kid. I've won some contests and some of my models were photographed and appeared "Scale Auto Enthusiast", a model magazine. And I also like to build, turn the wrenches and race R/C gas powered cars. I was real heavy into that in the 80's when all sorts of new technology was developing in it and spent lots of money on it. I was working at Grumman Aerospace back then.
I still listen to the same rock music from HS and college, only now we call it "classic rock" I also got turned on to fusion jazz when I went to Stony Brook. I got turned on to a lot of great music back then. I also like some old time classic blues. And more music since then. Well, that's it for now.
