Michael's Story
Life
Michael T. Fitzpatrick (originally from Tewksbury, MA) writes this mini life-bio to inform you: friend from Tewksbury Memorial High School (Class of 87), (voted Class Clown, not surprised, right?), Jamestown College, BA (Class of 1992) or the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, M.Ed (Class of 1999); as we were onetime CLASSMATES. This is just a quick, imprecise representation of some of the things I have done since we were last together as CLASSMATES back in the day. I hope this note finds you and yours very well. In the year of 2007, I am thirty-eight years old. Since 1987 (TMHS graduation year), I have done or been involved in the following: played college football: (always fun taking trips to Montana to play) - (earning all conference twice, all-district once, and honorable mention all-American honors), lived in Yellowstone National Park for the summer of 1990 (great experience), lived in North Dakota (college years, 1987-1992 in Jamestown, ND), visited with some of you at a reunion or banquet (the THMS Class of 1987 10th year reunion was a blast), (the night before Thanksgiving is always eventful), (the 1985 TMHS Super Bowl football team Hall of Fame induction ceremony 04/11/2000 was cool), hosted some of you at my home, earned a master's degree in education, went to a baseball game with one or more of you, (GO SOX) become a certified teacher, earned a social worker's license (LSW), traveled all over the United State...Expand for more
s and abroad, attended more concerts than I can remember (the number is rising as you read, I am partially hearing impaired), ran the Boston Marathon more than three times, been honorably discharged from the United States Army, raced my road or mountain bike more times than I can remember, trained on my road or mountain bike more miles than I can count, earned prize money racing my bike, raced my mountain bike for 24 hours straight, drove across the country in my car, became a dad, (Nicolas), moved three times, became an avid bowler, rode my bicycle across Massachusetts, rode my bike across California, ran in many road (running) races, been to the tattoo parlor often (just got number 18), worked and volunteered for those fighting cancer, skied in the Rocky and Sierra Nevada ranges, donated platelets at the Dana Farber Cancer Center in Boston, given blood, and of course given you some of my story. Do all you can to support the fight for a cure against cancer! Help, donate, or volunteer! Remember, someone you know has cancer! Also, support people with disabilities. We CAN Defeat Autism Now. Be art and get a tattoo! Get your ink done man! Take care and be well! At present: I am a social worker for the Department of Mental Retardation in Lowell.
