Greetings to Old Friends: Where do I start ? Graduated in June 1963. Joined the Army 12 days later. 4 years took me to Europe and Asia. Returned 1967, started college, finished a BS at Sac State (75), MPA at USC (78) and an MS from Cal-Poly Pomona (89), all in Management. The schooling was at night while working full time and raising kids. Met Nancy in college in San Diego, got married in 1969 and we will celebrate our 40th Anniversary this June 7th. Nancy worked in the Banking arena when we were first married. When the computer industry started she began as a Programmer and grew with the market. She retired several years ago as an IBM Systems Administrator with ACS, a large corporation in Dallas. I joined CHP in 1968 and continued the education at night. Retired in 1994 as Assistant Chief. Worked in 13 different assignments including San Diego, Oceanside, LA, Sacramento, San Francisco, Redding, Napa and Fairfield. Promoting in CHP requires moves much like the military. Retired for 5 years spending my time involved in Rotary, Shriners Hospital and Bicycling. Went back to work as the Executive Director of Meals On Wheels of Solano County in 2000 and spent 6 years raising money, growing the organization and feeding the elderly. Retired for a 2nd time two years ago and I am really enjoying it. We have been blessed with two wonderful kids: Nickie who is 36 and Michael who is 33. Both are graduates of the University of California and work in the business world. Nickie worked for 4 years as an Agricultural Commodities Broker and then decided she wanted to own her own business. She now owns three Quiznos Restaurants in the central valley of Californa. Our son Mike works as a Senior Buyer for the JC Penney's Corp. in Dallas Texas.
