Michael's Story
Seems like ages since 1975! I guess it has been. Moved from Okemos in '81 to San Diego for awhile. Then moved to Corpus Christi Texas on a whim to start a business. Got married to a woman who actually from Michigan as well and had a daughter. Sold my business in '87 when Christine was born and moved to Charleston SC. where I started another business and she got a job with another TV station. Then got divorced, but my daughter became a professional model when she turned sixteen and I kept my business but spent time on San Salvador Island in the Bahamas along with other islands for awhile and was between there and Charleston. In 2006 went to Miami to see Christine perform and went back to Charleston to check on things, went to the doctor and found out I had cancer. Big reality check! ood now. Sold my home by the ocean and moved inland a bit and now I have a dog and a condo, sold my business as well and Christine who is 21 is going to school at the Chicago Institute of Art and studying fashion design and believe it or not, writing cookbooks and doing quite well.
I am doing well, so far. Not working in the normal sense, but talking to those who just found out they have cancer and are getting ready for treatment and helping them cope and be honest about what is going on. Very rewarding until nothing can be done for someone. Guess it is time however to get back into the working world again. Well a little bit of what is going on!
Can't believe it has been over thirty years and I end up being a dude with a dog! Great memories though, even though some may have got lost in the fog so to speak! I wish you all the best!!!
