Michael's Story
Life
Right after graduation, I went to UNC-Wilmington. I've always loved my hometown. Graduated with a music degree and headed to grad school at Illinois State University in...get this...Normal, Illinois. I was a grad assistant there for two years. As I was completing a Master's in music, I began teaching at Bradley University. I've been at Bradley ever since and I have three other studios as well. I'm a guitarist, so I stay pretty busy, teaching and playing gigs. It's been a fun career so far.

lved in humanitarian aid and teaching English as a second language. I've been back several times since and I'm flying out again on 12/28. It is amazing to see what the other side of the world is like. I love my country, but being in Belarus opened my eyes to some harsh realities.
In 2000, I married Svetlana...yes I married one of my translators. We currently live in Bloomington, IL. She's in Belarus at the moment with our son, Nikolai. He's two and is already speaking more Russian than me, though that's not the hardest thing in the world to do. I hope to read about many of you in the future. God bless you all.
