Michael's Story

Hello dear friends... Since that glorious day when I graduated from LCHS, I have been following a path that has taken me from Michigan to points all over the map. I went to MC5 (Macomb County Community College Center Campus) and graduated. Somewhere along the line things got all fouled up and I ended up at Oakland University in Computer Science (what was I thinking?). I only attended one semester and decided it was time to pull out all the stops and try something new and exciting. I found myself joining the United States Army on the Fun, Travel and Adventure circuit in New Jersey, Colorado, Alabama and Germany. At the end of my enlistment, I went to Michigan State University where I graduated with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and earned my officer's commission in the US Army Medical Service Corps. Then the military decided to assign me back to Germany (duh, like throw me into the briar patch!) for several years, followed by a tour at Fort Sam Houston in Texas and finally the USMA at West Point in New York. After being shaken (not stirred), I landed in Florida (Ain't life grand?) where I have worked steadily in health care adminstration and finance, mostly for large manged care organizations, but also as a independent consultant. I have been extremely fortunate that I have worked for a few organizations that desired to explore expansion opportunities and was assigned to new business development projects in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. I am renewing my passport a third time to continue the adventures. As most of my family and friends still reside in southeast Michigan, I do visit from time to time and would love to catch up with you as time and opportunities allow.
