Michael's Story
Updated: September 2023: Life out of High School and enlisted in the US Nuclear Navy for 6 yrs. Honorably left the US Navy in 1985 for growing our family and continued career in Information Technology. Moved back to St. Petersburg since 1991. Married in 1981 to Rebecca who graduated SPHS in 79, (maiden name - Rebecca Champion). Will be celebrating our 43rd year wedding anniversary this Summer. We continue to give back to our community volunteering as a Assistant Scoutmaster, Associate Advisor, Skipper Mate to Boy Scout Troop and Venture Crew at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, the Sea Scouts chartered at Eckerd College. Youngest gradurated both SPC and USF major in Cyber Security working for local tech company in St Pete, Middle son graduated college between Catholic Seminary (Miami, FL) and Franciscan University (Ohio) and earned Masters degree in Church Administration is the Business Manager at St Jerome Catholic Church in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. Our oldest lives in New York up state.
Picture is of me Snorkeling with our Sea Scouts in Dry Tortugas (West of Key West Florida). December 2018 certified Scuba Open Water and Nitrox with middle son. Wish so much i did that earlier in life! I was a photographer for NoSoWeEa year book staff 1977-1979. Hope Rebecca and I get to meet up with many of our classmates at next class reunion.
