Michael's Story

Life Hi everyone, those of you who remember that far back might remember that I was kinda quiet. All that changed when I went in to the Air Force. I spent 22 years in the Air Force as an Aircraft and Powerplant Mechanic, Supervisor and Maintenance Superintendant and retired in 1990. During those years I found many good friends (in the United States and oversees as well) and learned a lot about people and about myself. I was fortunate enough to get to traveled around the world several times, and even went to Russia and China with President Nixon. I am no longer quiet and shy; but I have learned to respect others and know that eeryone's beliefs and ideas are important to making the world what it is today. I obviously do not agree with the beliefs of everyone else but I learned to listen to ...Expand for more
what they have to say before I disount or disagree with their ideas. Since I retired, I have worked at Easter Airlines, Trans World Airlines, United Airlines and now am the Senior Director of Maintenance, Technical Services and Safety at an Airline in Michigan. I was married in 1967 and we had two sons (one now lives in Delaware and one in St. Louis). We were divorced in 1985 but my ex-wife and I are still friends to this day. We got divorced because the Military life was not for her - sooooooooo - here I am. Well that is a short overview of my past 35 years - what about you! It would be interesting to hear from some of my old class mates - if you feel the same way drop me a line. Hope to hear from you - but if not - I hope everyone is well and prosporous. Take care and be happy.
