Michael's Story

Second and last chapter of my life. First, I want to give all the glory to God, and want to thank classmates.com for this web sight. My story has changed and I want all to know that I have started the second chapter in my life. :) Carol Stevens and I had met briefly back in the early 70's at the old skating rink and skated "couples only" together one time. I left Ohio in May of 1973. On June 2, 2010 I found her profile on Classmates.com. At that time we had a couple short conversation but did not start frequent conversations for over five years later on September 12, 2015. I knew Carol was single and In December of 2015 I was visiting Fostoria, OH. and on December 12th I made a life changing call to Carol (Stevens) Williams asking her if she would like to have dinner or just coffee with me at the American Table Cafe'. Thank God, Carol said yes. From the moment she sat across the table from me that day I began falling in love with her. We talked for almost 3 hours that first evening. We went out, had a lot of laughs, fun and did things together around five other times during the next couple weeks. Carol and I felt a strong connection to one another during those two and a half weeks. I went back home (Washington State) on December 21, 2015 but we continued to electronically communicate our feeling for one another for the next 3 months. We fell in love and on April 2, 2016 I returned to Fostoria and we were reunited. I love her dearly and feel very blessed to have her in my life. We pray together, go to church together, put God first and our Lord is in both our daily lives. I feel Jesus brought us together at a time when we both needed some uplifting happiness and we have become true soul mates. We have so much fun together! She is my best friend and I want to be with her all the time. Who could ask for anything more, or question what God has brought together! Carol and I had a road trip back to Moses Lake, WA. this last September 16th and returned to Fostoria on October 9th. We had a lot of fun and made some memories with my children and grand daughter during that time. Family is very important to both Carol and I. Lastly, I feel with all the Blessings, Fun, Laughter, Happiness, Friendship, Healing of my Mind and Heart, Natural Highs, Silliness, Craziness, and Love Carol has brought into my life, Although it has not happened yet, It goes with out saying that Carol and I will become engaged in the very near future. I want to be with her and she with me the rest of our lives! Praying she says YES, because ...Expand for more
I can not imagine life with out her! WHEN that day happens I'll be so happy and over joyed to update my story with the good news. LOVE YOU Carol Jean UPDATE: On January 11, 2017 After flying back to Detroit, MI. on my return trip from Moses Lake, Washington, I asked Carol to marry me! She said:"YES, YES, YES I will marry you! (Technically it may have been a little after midnight on the night 11th) ... We were both so happy and excited that when we did take a moment to look at the time it was after midnight.. thus making it exactly 13 month after we had coffee that night at The American Table on Dec. 12, 2015! <: ) I will be so happy to add to my life story once we are married!!! I Love You,, my best friend,, Carol Jean with all of my heart!!!!! Your future husband, Michael UPDATE: We did it!! Carol Stevens and I we married on 2/23/17 by Mayor Eric Keckler in downtown Fostoria. It was a beautiful warm day, so we had the ceremony at the little gazebo located at the corner of S. Main and W. Tiffin St. I look forward to all the many adventures we both will have as we go forward with our lives!! Chapter one of my life. It was May 27, 1973, just two weeks after my 17th birthday when I needed to find the woman I fell in love with when I was 14. She had moved from Fostoria to the state of Washington in 1971. I hitch hiked across country to Moses Lake, WA. where I was reunited with Yolie (Yollanda Tijerina). We married March 2nd, 1974 and made Moses Lake, Washington our home and started a family. We were blessed with a daughter (Rosalinda) on June 18,1974 and a son (Michael Jr.) on October 28,1982. My daughter made us grandparents to our beautiful granddaughter on June 6, 1998. Yolie passed away on October 25, 2008 due to a hospital infection she received while being hospitalized with pneumonia. I was truly blessed with almost 35 years of marriage to a wonderful, one of a kind woman, wife, and best friend. It still very hard for me to talk about, I miss her so much, my life will never be the same. I'm currently a Superintendent at REC Silicon where I have been employed for the past 23 years, producing both Electronic grade and Solar grade Poly Silicon used to make computer chips as well as solar panels. Before that I received an Associates Degree and worked as a welder in construction of Nuclear Reactor plants at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Southern Washington. My parents have both passed away, but I still try and visit Fostoria every other year to see my sisters and brothers.
