Life
Harpur College/SUNY Binghamton;freaked out from '69 thru '70's. Burned draft card, got high draft #, went 1A. Went to Guadalahara to med school, hated it & troops w/automatic weapons, left after few weeks. Ended up in Milwaukee (visited Ken Marcus & liked it), got into Medical College of WI, went for about two years, hated it, left. Joined mind control group run by Werner Ehrhardt's teacher, stayed 18 mos., ended freakdom (I thought). Met girl, too serious, left to start own chapter on Long Island. Eventually came to senses, got busted for patio plants; back to Milw. Freaking again; drove cab, waited tables at alternative club, became super orderly in nursing home, played sax in Milw.clubs. Met woman co-worker, chased for 14 mos. Decided mom was right, I should be lawyer. Moved to S.F. w/Sue, went to law school, married. There for Moscone-Milk murders (twinkie defense), Jonestown massacre, other cataclysmic events. Developed taste for wine. Sue missed family; back to Milw. Left...Expand for more
heart in San Francisco, for sure ('82). Investigator for State Public Defender in Milw. Thought I was cool, like Miami Vice, 'til shot at (hard to convince those people I wasn't a cop). Moved to NW Wisconsin to take "real job" as prosecutor. Prosecutor since 1986. Now in Eau Claire, WI, specialize in juvenile delinquency cases. Still married, 1 son, miracle birth, we were told, now 14(prime candidate for prosecution- my greatest fear). No problems yet. Now live vicariously through him. Susan became psychotherapist w/great reputation in area. Is going to U. of Minn. for Ph.D. this Fall. I work w/youth hockey and baseball organizations. In 1998, our 12yo little league team were state champions & went to Central Region tournament, one step from Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. Big highlight. Hockey, though is Max's best sport. He's gone to state championships 4 out of last 5 yrs. A student athelete. Plan to have him support our retirement when he reaches NHL(after college).
