Michael's Story
I spent three years at Wabash College then finished at IU Bloomington before going to IU School of Medicine. After finishing there I moved to San Francisco for my internship and residency in Internal Medicine.
I came back to Indianapolis and practiced at St. Vincent Hospital for 20+ years. I got involved in volunteer teaching for the medical school and eventually quit private practice to teach full time at IU. So, I spend my days teaching medical students, interns and residents how to ...Expand for more
take care of hospitalized patients. It's great fun so I am delaying retirement.
I've been married about 30 years and have three kids, one of whom is a physician in training.
Life is pretty good but I hope to move back to the San Francisco Bay area when I retire. My wife is originally from Columbus, IN but spent a number of years in San Francisco so we sort of regard ourselves as San Franciscans in exile. Indianapolis has been a good place to work but I've never much liked it otherwise.
