Michael's Story
Life
I graduated from Jeff in 1998 and worked for an Insurance company that helped paved the road and my somewhat early success in the financial industry. I worked for this company for 7 years and then relocated with the company to Tampa, Florida where I worked in Risk Management. When our son was born, I made the request to move closer to home and was turned down due to no available openings. At that time, my wife and I made the decision to move home without work and see what I could find once we relocated. Thank God we had enough money saved which allowed us to move, buy a home and allowed me to stay home for two months. This was the hardest decision that we made but the most rewarding. I have been married to an amazing woman (Angela) for 4 years and we have one child together (Gannon) who is 13 months old. I work 50 to 60 hours per week but love what I do. I cherish the moments I spend with my family because they keep me going. My wife and I are truly blessed as I am able to work from home and my wife is able to stay at home and tend to our son. nd we lead richer lives. When I was growning up, my parents always told me that family was the most important, then I didn't understand that but now, it's the only thing that we have.
College
I went to Purdue University and graduated in 2003. I had a great time and can remember numerous police fleeing events. One event in particular happened when I was a freshman and the police busted the party. All I can remember is jumping a fence and catching my pants on one of the wires that caused the pants to rip from my crotch all the way to the end of my pant legg (good times)
Workplace
When I was in High School, I worked an internship at State Farm. That internship helped me graduate from college and land the job that I currently have still working in the Insurance industry and loving every minute. It keeps me extremely busy and causes me to work about 55 hours a week. The only down side is that I wish I had more time to spend with my family. However, the upside is that my wife is a stay at home mom. She's excellent and I cherish her and my son both.
My wife and I lived in Tampa, Florida for two years where I worked in Risk Management but the birth of our son caused us to move closer to home.
