Michaela's Story
Life
This is my second marriage and we have been married almost 20 years. I married a wonderful German chef and we have two children, 17 and 15. We travel to Europe to visit his family about every two years.
It is interesting that I have an associate degree in Restaurant Management (which gave my husband and I something in common when we first met) but have been working for a bank as a business analyst for 29 years (the hours are definitely better).
College
I attended Columbus Technical Institute for the one thing that I knew most about since I was a teenager and that was restaurant work. I really enjoyed my classes at Columbus Tech and I grew up...Expand for more

The one thing that was difficult was graduating before I was 21. I couldn't work in any decent restaurant because I wasn't of legal age so I ended up in banking. It stuck and I am very happy since I learn new things every day. I love to learn and have challenges.
Workplace
I have a strong desire to learn new things. As long as I am learning I never get bored. I have stayed with the bank and moved up in the years there. The current job I have I learn new things almost daily and it is rewarding. I am a lead business analyst, my manager knows my desire to learn and is consistently feeding my drive to learn more so I am very happy at what I do.
