Michaelle's Story

I am the person who would lend you an ear - give you the advise i'd want to hear from you if it was you talking to me. I like to be as organized as possible when i do a project. If not- well, i'll do better next time....LOL! The teacher i'd like to see is Mrs. Sharon Huff. She was my teacher in 6th grade. She was no. 1 to me. So in tune w/ us kids...taking the multiplying test of 100 on a timed test..for us to beat her time...I did it too........hers was 1:14 sec. and mine was 1:07sec.(Yes)! We all in class took that timed test. The craziest thing i did in school was a couple puffs on a cig. in the girls room in between classes. I married my high school crush, 2yrs. after graduation and 5 kids later....now married for 25 yrs. I'd like to be remembered as a helpful, caring person, good listener and fun to be with - who laughted alot. If i didn't know what to say, I'd laugh. I am happy being w/my husband, family and friends in the backyard having a cookout or out camping. My biggest surprise in my life was expecting identical twins -finding out at 6 months and them being born 5wks. later.... them both passing away - one at birth and the other died on my due date. We had two other girls at home (2 & 4 yrs.old). It was hard as you can imagine but it would either bring us together or tear us apart. Times were tough then...looking back i don't know how we did it but we made it "together". We ended up having another child....finally, a son, a yr. later. I wouldn't change a thing about my life. Maybe, get my license sooner - back in my high school yrs. The weirdest job i ever had was selling fresh veggies at a stand....my friend, Gilda, and i had so much fun - we'd laugh alot! We'd load up the truck and travel 45 min. to the site. All those tomato sandwiches we ate every day for lunch. Those were the days. Thanks for all the memories we made, Gilda. I didn't live in to many places..we moved out west (i was 12yrs.old) when my mom remarried . My older siblings all lived out east - in upstate New York. When my parents divorced, mom took us back to N.Y. where our home was we lived before. I enjoyed seeing my siblilings but i missed the only dad i ever had and he was a grrrrrrrreat dad figure to ...Expand for more
all of us....he was not well and died few yrs. later. The people from my past who I'd most like to see again is Shelly Gibson, Jodi Dudley, Janet Ayala, Dena Debunce,Julie Witt, and o/c Marg. Tixier. Marg. has kept in touch thru mail for 30 some yrs since i moved back east...that would be neat to see her again. I do like sports but since i hurt my foot .. i don't walk as much as i'd like to. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the living room and add on a game room. My dream home would be back in a wooded area.. Kids are ALL different...they take what "they want" out of what you've taught them... just BE THERE for them. If I won $100 million, I'd give a good portion of it to a couple good causes , then spend the rest on my family , vacation and home, that i'd design myself. I have 15 blue ribbons/3 red ribbons - which are from my crocheted afghans. I enter them into the county fair in our area. Out of the 4 yrs. I've entered, I've received the Edna Hill Award 3 yrs. in a row - which is of all crocheted afghans mine was the overall afghan. Amazing! Brought tears to my eyes. I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were almost right. I did day care for awhile and sooo enjoyed the kids of all personalities. To me that may of been the teaching years for me w/ children. They still "pop in" see me and visit.... now that they are older and have families of there own. It sure is good to see them, too. I'm glad i was there to help and they so return that to me by calling or stopping by when they are home for a visit. My extended family as i call them and me, there second mom figure. I've learned from my kids that time sure does fly by so don't blink!haha Enjoy the time we have with them all...talk out any problems with one another - be a good listener as well. When it's time for you to listen and really listen, very important part to do. Just because we're the parent doesn't mean we don't have to LISTEN. It shows them that as an adult we still have to listen/shows them that respect comes from both sides - as it should. I am a Dispatcher for Public Transit - it can be pretty crazy at times and then again rewarding as well.
