Michele L's Story
Joined the Women's Army Corps in 1969; trained as a combat medic with the training the civilian equivalent of a LPN/LVN. Took care of the injured soldiers coming back from VietNam; I am honored to count myself as a VietNam era Vet!
Met my husband, also military, married, discharged from the Army, had my daughter Karen, played Mom and military wife for 3 years then returned to school for an associate degree in Nusing, then a BSN from Health Science Center at the University of Texas San Antonio.

ver were lucky enough to be assigned out of the continental US.
We divorced after 13 years, my daughter then 12 1/2 years old. I remained out of Minnesota except for infrequent visits until my parents became ill. My father died in February 2006, and my mother in October 2006.
At this time I remain in Minnesota until my daughter and son-in-law return from assignment in the UK where both are in the USAF.
Obviously, like most of us, there is sooooo much more to the story, but those details are for face to face meetings with a box of tissues and some good Vino!
