Michele's Story
Michele lives in Chicago and is from Manhattan Beach CA. After high school, I went to El Camino for my AA and played volleyball the "3 years" I was there LOL. Shortly after I joined the Navy and was assigned as a parachute rigger with NAS Oceana. I also played volleyball for the Navy and came that = close being on all services volleyball team, trying out for. I returned to CA, with my husband whom I met in boot camp in Florida. Talk about humidity and hot during summer for 10 weeks. I went back to college for respiratory therapy. next day I had an anxiety attack and that ended that. So as a Navy vet, a parachute rigger and quality , I applied and got a job with DOD. I have been both a quality inspector, and a contracting officer in Kosovo and now I am a quality supervisor as a GS13. I have had a few opportunities for a GS 14 but I can't be that politically correct and I would rather fight for my team than to kiss the ring, so to speak. I will be retiring next year with 40 years, and still in love with the man I married. l have an adult son and daughter, one granddaughter. Finally, I asked that you keep me in your prayers as I am having back surgery on Dec 30, 2022. HAPPY NEW YEAR....that's all you get for now!
