Michele's Story

My Personal Life in a nutshell: Married Chris Lavallee in 1987, separated in 1997, divorced in June 2004, married David Moyers in Dec. 2004. David and I separated in Oct 2007. I have 2 wonderful sons. Derek is 24yrs and Mark is 20yrs. They both just recently moved in with me and I enjoy having them around. I have a siamese cat-Lucky and 3 pit bull dogs-Scrappy & Cheyenne and baby Sera, and Shorty-a min pin mix. I've worked in blood banking for the last 14yrs, which I truly enjoy. I lost my Brother-in-law David(Tommy)Horner(class of 1983)in an accident in 2004. He is missed greatly. My sister Sue(class of 1986) is doing good-all things considered. She is raising the kids by herself now. Most of my immediate family live in Charlotte County, so we can see each other when we want. I am a member of the PGHA(Punta Gorda Horsemans Association)and I had a beautiful Draft-Cross Horse named Sox, but had to give him up ...Expand for more
after David and I split. I still go to the horse shows every month and hopefully will be riding this season. My professional life in a nutshell: Graduated 1983. Worked at Fishermans Village until I married then quit at my husbands request to become a stay at home mom. Went to Edison Comm College in 1994 and earned my EMT license. Started working for Char Co Blood Ctr in 1995. In 2007 started working for Suncoast Comm Blood Bk in Sarasota. I still enjoy going out with my friends for drinking and dancing, though I don't drink as much as I used to. My liver probably couldn't have taken it!!! haha I do miss the uncomplicated times of my youth when all that seemed to matter was hanging out with friends and having a good time! I do occasionally get to go camping and ride ATV's in Arcadia with my family-still nothing like getting muddy and swimming in the river....some things never change no matter how old you get!!!
