Michele's Story
Life
I have truly been blessed with a close family, and a great husband who I met in 2000 and have never argued with, ever!
I worked at a hospital 13 yrs in medical records, but I left and I am now working in the Post Office in North Salem as the Postmaster Replacement.
I love being with my family. I am truly happy and would love to reconnect with friends from school, that is if they remember me!, I was a little on the quiet side.
Story Ideas -
1. You would probably be surprised to find that I'm not quite as shy as I used to be.
2. My favorite teachers were Mrs. Powers and Mrs. Purdy from TriWest, and Mr. Zike and Mr. St.Clair from Higbee.
3. The wildest thing I ever did was probably getting pregnant my sophomore year. But I don't regret it at all.
4. I married my 1st crush from the 6th grade, Randy Snider, right after high school, we divorced but remain friends. He is remarried now to a very nice and beautiful woman named Pam.
5. I hope friends will remember me as funny and that I never had a bad word to say about anyone.
6. To be truly happy, honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. I'm where I want to be with my family close by.
7. My biggest surprise in life is that we actually do get old and crickety! I thought I would be young forever.
8. My one do-over would be not to take High School social life so seriously.
9. The weirdest job I ever had was doing "lab research for agriculture" actually I was a glorified bean picker.
10. I've lived several places besides North Salem, I've lived in Lizton, Pittsboro and Frankfort, Crawfordsvile, New Market, and Darlington, Indiana, Greensboro and Burlington, North Carolina, St. Augustine, Florida, Higbee, Missouri, but the best place in the world for me is, North Salem, Indiana. Home sweet home.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up, but life had a few surprises, now I jus...Expand for more

To blow off steam, I get on Facebook, see what everyone's up to, then I go play a few games. I love to spend time with my pets, I have 5 dogs and a kitty, that love me so much, it seems I'm the center of their universe. I'm leader of the pack, I guess.
My heroes, besides my Dad and Mom would have to be Red Skelton, Michael Landon, and Princess Diana. They seem to have sweet spirits, something I strive to have also.
My favorite show is Survivor, although I'm only on my 6th season, I live for Survivor night on TV.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel by knocking down a wall and make one huge master bedroom so we could have a king size bed again and add on a covered porch that totally surrounds the house. Other than that, I have my dream home, a cabin in the woods.
What I've learned from my children...After they become adults, If you want to stay in their lives and have them want to be with you, you have to be open to listen to them, give help and advice if asked, and don't judge them or blame them.
I have been working very hard and long hours at the Post Office so that someday I can be Postmaster. I actually do the job of a Postmaster, but my title is Officer in Charge. I used to be so shy, that I didn't want a job where I would have to deal with the public, but, that is what I would miss the most if I ever left this job. I love going to work in the town I grew up in and seeing everyone, it's the best part of my job.
My best childhood memory would have to be, every summer my parents would load all of us into the camper and we would drive across the country, staying in KOA campgrounds and going to sites like, The Lost Sea, White Sands Memorial, Will Rogers Memorial, Believe It Or Not Museum, Ruby Falls, and lots, lots more places. And we would camp closer to home also at Waveland, Monroe or VanBibber. We always had great summer vacations when I was a kid.
