Michele's Story
My story began many, many moons ago and I hope it will end many, many moons from now.
I had a wonderful childhood beginning in Detroit, Michigan. When I was seven years old my mother and I went to California on a vacation. My mom loved California so she called my Dad asked him to quit his job, sell the house, sell all the stuff and come to LA. This was the beginning of more wonderful childhood memories of living in Pico Rivera.
After high school I married and we had a beautiful bouncing baby boy. A few years later we divorced but have remained friends to this day.
April 21, 1972 I met and later on married a wonderful man. He loved my son and my mom.
Because of the nature of his job we moved quite a bit even to China and India. Always interesting.
After retirement we settled down in California but not for long. We decided to buy a motor home to travel the ribbon of highways for 7 years. The only argument we had was when I would ...Expand for more

Finally we settled down in Illinois where Burt was from and his parents still lived on the farm. We chose 5 acres of woods to build our home. I have never lived in the country. Wow, what a change. Burt loved it. My husband changed from a suit and tie man in to a cowboy sporting chaps, silver spurs, cowboy hat and of course those fashionable checkered or striped cowboy shirts. He looked just so handsome sitting on the horse. He was in heaven.
Speaking of heaven, Burt was called to be with the Lord on January 5, 2014. The saddest day of my life.
My life now happens to be filled with friends and family. I'd like to take one last trip maybe to Africa. I am working on my bucket list. I've checked off many events including skydiving.
My wish for my fellow classmates would be good health, people to love and be loved in return, a chance to be of service but most of to love the Lord with all your heart...Michele
