Michele's Story
Life
Since high school I have gotten a degree in Police Science, which I do not use. While going through the testing process for several different police departments, I took a part time job working at a hotel. I discovered I liked the field immensely and began a career in hospitality and tourism management. I moved to Appleton in 1996 and discovered there was so much more in the world than everything I thought I knew when I lived in Sheboygan...not that Appleton is huge or anything; however, the people I met here have shown me, quite literally, the world. I am now working as a tour planner for a small tour company based out of Appleton. I used to be on teh board of FTM Productions, a small production company that was based out of Minneapolis. Due to life's travels and journey's, FTM is now defunct, which is disheartening, as it was my creative outlet, where I could let my hair down and do what I wanted...Expand for more
to do and say what I wanted to say anytime, anywhere without judgement or fear of repercussion. As our company motto stated, we were "Breaking Gender Barriers".
I have been with my wife, Jodi, (domestic partner for those who are ultra PC) for about 2 years now. We have 2 dogs who we dote on hopelessly. Molly, an American Staffordshire Terrier, and Archie, a Beagle, who are so full of love and energy, it is almost impossible to explain...it still amazes me how an animal can grab onto your heart so quickly and easily!
I hope this finds you all well and doing what you love in life. Remember, while money does pay your bills, you can only be truly happy when you are doing what you love, what's truly in your heart...now, if that pays well, FANTASTIC, but if it doesn't, a happy heart is much more fulfilling than a loaded bank account...noone's gonna scribe your net worth in an epitaph on your headstone!!
